quicktime plays sound no video

Blank screen with sound. No icon on .mov files. These are movies from my Kodak EasyShare camera. I installed the standalone version 7.1 Quicktime. Compatibility change just gives me a pop-up screen that says the program is not compatible with Windows. Works fine in my Windows Home XP boot.
Anyone else have problems with Quicktime?

Replying to my own post. :-) I found an old Quicktime 6.0 install file and it installed fine and plays the .mov files. It just is incompatible with aero special effects but at least it works.
I keep getting error messages when I post to this group through my Opera browser so please forgive multiple posts.
